Kibdat Al Prince

Filed under: Food — by amonish @ 11:18 pm

So here I am in Egypt, and all the streets are crowded especially near ‘Al Hussain’. It took us two hours to get there I almost cried in tears because I hate spending so much time in the car, mostly if I’m not the one driving. Anyways, thats not what I’m gonna talk about. I’m gonna talk about ‘Kibdat Al Prince’. Its a restaurant where they serve Egyptian food. They bring the food in clay pots which they call ‘Tajin’. I ordered Molokhiya Tajin and they serve with it rice and liver, sometimes camel liver if you wanna try it. Here are some pictures:

And here are some pictures of the cooking staff and the food:

Those Salon 1-time use Sandals

Filed under: Fashion, nails and beauty — by amonish @ 1:19 pm

If you’re a mani and pedi addict you’ll know what I mean. Its like you go to a nail salon and in the end before you go out they make you were those disposable sandals so you don’t ruin the nail polish on your feet. Anyways, before leaving Kuwait, I realised that they stopped bringing those sandals for some reason. Some told me they stopped making them, and some didn’t give me a reason.
Anyways, I found these in Spain

Spain – Fuengirola – Myramar – Claire’s

Filed under: Fashion — by amonish @ 11:07 pm

For those of you who don’t know: Myramar is a shopping mall in Fuengirola, Spain.
Now I can begin :)
Two weeks ago I headed to Spain with my hubby and in-laws. We stayed in torremolinos and went to visit his family in Fuengirola many times. One of these times we went to Myramar. My cousin and her daughter went to Claire’s as usual, but this time it was different. This time, when my cousin’s daughter was walking in she accidentally hit a makeup set that was left on the tip of the shelf. It fell down and the sales-lady came rushing and yelled in Spanish to my cousin who clearly didn’t know what she was saying. The sales-lady grabbed the set and left a mark with her nails on the blush. She claimed that the set was broken and that my cousin had to buy it. So my cousin told her she isn’t gonna buy it because it was just an accident and to top that it had nail marks. So the sales-lady fixed the “broken” set and called security to force my cousin to buy it. My cousin explained that the set wasn’t really broken and it would look new if it hadn’t the nail mark. So again, she refused to buy it. The security guard started laughing at the situation and the sales-lady was still angry. So this time, she gets a new one and asks my cousin to buy the new set instead of the one she “broke”. Is she forcing her to buy from Claire’s? Really? She wanted to buy stuff, just not the makeup set. So there I was telling the sales-lady, why are you trying to sell the new one if the old one is damaged? So she opens the new set and it has something missing! Trying again to sell it like that to us. So to end the situation, I told her to switch the new blush with the “broken” set’s blush. Again, it looked new and undamaged at this point. So we asked her, now we don’t have to buy it? and she was more furious. Anyways to end this, we purchased the set and left without buying what we really wanted, we left the items we were gonna purchase. It was a really bad situation and that made us unhappy.
So, still talking about what had happened, we continued shopping in the mall. We left a shop and saw Flamenco Dancers, at this point I forgot all about Claire’s and was very happy. Not the best show, but it was nice of Myramar to put on a show.

In Italy

Filed under: travel — by amonish @ 9:17 pm

So.. sorry I haven’t written any posts these past few days.. but I was out of the country..
I went to Italy this summer and I saw some interesting things as I was on the gondola ride in Venice. People told me that their will be some singing and there wasn’t :( so I just started singing myself :p and that the guy would shout something on intersections and how cool was that because there are no traffic lights, instead there were these mirror stands on each intersection so they don’t have to yell out anything as a warning.. so it was kind of a quiet, nice and enjoyable ride.
I took this photo thinking I could share it with you guys:

Always Updated!! Nail Station

Filed under: nails and beauty — by amonish @ 11:35 am

Nail Station is a nails and tan salon that always offer the latest products.. I was there yesterday talking to the owner, and she told me all about the new products she got from abroad just recently, including hand and nail harmony products.

They offer many kinds of manicure and pedicure treatments, including chocolate and grape wine and other treatments ofcourse. Or you can just settle with a normal mani and pedi.
They have many kinds of nail polish brands including:
Essie
Zoya
Nails Inc.
OPI

I just love going there, and everybody is so friendly.. even the costumers! You can stay quiet or relax with the massage chair or you can gossip with your friends and socialize.
This is their number:
99817773

Anyways.. back again with the hand and nail harmony products… the owner just got some gel polish, or what they call soak off gel
www.nailharmony.com
This gel works like a nail polish.. you apply the color you desire and unlike a normal polish.. it must be cured in LED light OR UV light. It stays on for 3 weeks!! ladies are you thinking of travelling with beautiful nails???
So.. thats what I’m gonna do.. I’m gonna try it right before I travel.

Btw, I love ESSIE’s Tomboy No More
http://www.essie.com/products/search.php?action=search&name=tomboy+no+more%3Cbr%3E&maxhits=1
I put it on yesterday and I’m loving it.. its dark red.
I also love these colors from essie:
Demure Vixen
Ballet Slippers as the base for french manicure (Did this for my wedding- in nail station)
Turquoise & Caicos if you like to go wild with colors (green blue)
Sea Breeze (I just love this shade of pink)
Cantaloupe
